Bar-headed Goose (Anser indicus) is a common winter visitor found in large wetlands of
Haryana and nearby cultivation. It has two distinctive black bars across its neck. This bird arrives in Haryana in October
and departs by the end of March. In winter, the Bar-headed Goose can be commonly
seen in large water bodies like those in
Sultanpur National Park and
Bhindawas Bird Sanctuary.
