Eurasian Blackbird

merula) is a scarce winter visitor in
Haryana, India. This bird is found in the hill
forests.

Identification: A medium-sized, longish tailed, thrush. This bird is in a mainly dark plumage. Black in male, and dark rufous-brown in female. Identifying features are yellow bill in male, pale throat in female.
Food: Ground worms, fruits, seeds. Feeds largely on ground.
