White-breasted Waterhen (Amaurornis phoenicurus) is a common breeding resident, found in scrubby wetlands of
Haryana. Locally called Dawak or Dahak, this marsh bird has white on face and breast and rusty red under the tail. Feeds on
insects, molluscs, grain and worms.
