Desire -
a poem by Rajiv Lather |
|
To want what you can't get, a desire without fulfillment, lights a fire deep inside that
quietly burns for all eternity.
A fire that spreads outwards, from the heart, enveloping the mind with conflicting emotions
and the body with a vivid glow.
A fire that doesn't scald but, that sparks a fiery imagination. It slakes the thirsty soul with a soothing effusion of warmth.
A fire that may diminish with passing time but will never die. These smoldering embers will always survive in some hidden corner of my beholden heart. |
